I was just checking the kickstarter videos and oh... oh... man i want to cry so hard, they promised the SKY and we get VAPORWARE.


He is explaining how amazing the galaxy will evolve, he even says that if a explorer finds a system between 2 systems of diferent factions and in that system there is a nice resource on the asteroids fields he could sneak on the system and take the resources while the other 2 factions fight for the system , HAHAHAHAHAHA and he adds... that could not be a good idea... yea sure .

Real Freedom - Go where you like, be what you like - pirate, bounty hunter, trader, assassin, or some mix of all of these.
Trade - Buy low, cross dangerous space lanes(RLY?), evade or destroy pirates en route, then sell high, if you make the journey!

Fight - Take on the pirates or be one yourself

Progress - Get your pilot rating all the way from "Harmless" to "Elite" - Well he told us back in 2012 the progress of this game is just reach elite, nothing else.

Explore - Head out to the far reaches of space and discover amazing sights

And the best part - you can do all this online with your friends, or other "Elite" pilots like yourself, or even alone. The choice is yours..

The game just got released. You have an EVE portrait so I suspect you play EVE. Even EVE was a shell of a game when it launched and it took a few years to find it's feet. CCP also made promises over the years that they never kept. Braben has given us a great foundation for a game. I for one will be here playing and supporting Elite as it becomes the game EVE should have been.

Its 2014.
One kind of expect games to have their ADVERTISED features available within the game during launch, not months later.

Ive yet to be able to do missions together with friends, even hopping into USS, Wakes is difficult because you cant really track your friends easily in cruise.

Heck, the sole source of income in this game is: Bounty, Mine or Haul (Trade) two of these you usually do alone, because.. how fun it is to Space Truck together in Supercruise for 15minutes while you go make dinner.
Missions are lackluster, rarely actually show up as worthwhile on the billboards and are very cryptic.

Last I checked mmo stood for massively multiplayer online.

Massive? 400 billion star systems, check. More massive than any other game out there.
Multiplayer? Check. Granted its massive and so you can go a while without seeing other people, but they are definitely out there.
Online? Turns out I have to be online to play it, so the answer seems to be yes it is online.

Fairly confident we can call it an MMO.

Go back to EVE then. Many of us will be here enjoying Elite for what it will be in the future. While you're dreaming of CCP adding WIS, we'll be doing it on planets, stations and derelict ships. :D

ummmm. do you know what MMO means ? because it sure sounds like an MMO to me. it might not be your kind of MMO or even game, but it sure is one.

As for the rest of your claims, well he is delivering on most of those promises, but again, players are also part of this. Players are the most dangerous prey out there, and one day you might be the prey. other than that, it's a space sim, space is vast and empty. You don't easily drop onto people or NPC's all the time.

Also look up the term vaporvare, it's another term you don't seem to know the meaning of.

If fanboys like you keep everyone saying back to "XXX" whatever i dont see any good future for ED, they sold the game to you fanboys already, now they need to sell more to "maybe" deliver some procedural planet landing... wich will be docking 2.0 and after 50 times landing on a planet will be the same, so stop saying get back to "XXX" cos is against your own interest.

Ya and it's all in there, obviously you aren't looking very hard. I am seeing systems evolving all around me, events happening, trade routes happening, civil wars breaking out, famine in systems. You must be confused or not paying attention, or need to spend less time complaining in the forums and more time actually playing the game. You can't change the universe by trolling in the forums, Braben never promised that.

You will be? Those features relies entirely on this games success, economically, for Frontier. And if people actually continue playing in a month from now, which I doubt, because theres no content once you hit that ship you want to fly.

Massive doesnt stand for the games scale, it stands for MASSIVE as in Numbers of players.
Its online due to DRM nothing else.

So far, its very empty, the instancing ruins everything, there is no ingame chat for atleast stations.
Theres no player to player trading.
Theres no bounty sharing, theres no mission sharing.
There are no corporations or guilds.
There are no actual party systems.
All solar systems share layout pretty much, they all feel the same, they all share the same tediousness, traveling from the Star to a planet is basicly: Go out for a walk, with your pet and come back, and then you're there. Its not fun, its not engaging what so ever. Its a walking simulator extreme, but... without the manual labour. (Pressing buttons)

She didn't say don't buy it. If you bought it and don't like it they have your money, you are no longer needed. There is no subscription service so retention of people that bought the game without an understanding of what it was isn't that important, so Im quite in agreement.

I think we all know that there is work to be done and its not, nor ever will be, "finished". If you have constructive suggestions for things they could do to improve it then I'm all ears. If all you have to say is god this games boring, its not even an mmo, its horrible, its the worst thing Ive ever played... don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.
