Newcomer / Intro How the hell do I kill a Goliath?

I took a Goliath kill mission, and I was managing, but I user up all my ammo just to bring its shields off...

How can you kill it? Form the air, even if the ship does not lock onto it?

I was going to try, so I recalled the ship but... The stupid thing chose to land inside the guarded perimeter and got blown to pieces....

What ship do you use?
What weapons do you use?

I remember using lasers and missiles.
I think I had a Python at the time, or perhaps an Anaconda.

Wait, you tried it in an SRV?
That's brave, but I think your chances are slim . Goliaths are big heavily armoured tanks. Evading their missile salvo's in an SRV would be quite difficult.

Using buildings and other stuff for cover makes it possible if..........quite difficult, but fun!

If it's a mission thing you will have to do it in the SRV. The kill does not get counted if you attack it from the ship. Otherwise get close with the ship and it should lock on it when it fires at the ship. Or stay out a bit and just aim at it.
You can kill it in the SRV, but you'll have to use the terrain for cover so that you cannot see it from the driving seat, but you can when you activate the turret. You'll probably have to be out a bit from it as well, > 450m. i've killed a few this way.

Yes, I was doing that but... Even without missing a single shot all I was able to do was wearing its shields off...
What do you do, you reload by synthesis and keep on trying? I tried that and it managed to reload its shields with its hull at 97%...

I feared I could die of old age before killing it and I let it be...
