How the hell do you fly your ship down to a planet surface to specific coordinates?

Can't quickly find my previous "idea" posting but here is the quick dirty.

Basically this -> Surface navigation computer. [Navigation tab of left hand monitor]

Input the target LAT/LON info and it generates a heading caret on the compass in ship and SRV. Or if still in orbit/glide, it generates a target circle like we currently have for surfaces bases.

The advantage of being "built in" is that your present LAN/LON would already be known to the Surface Nav Comp and you'd simply enter your target (where you want to end up) LAT/LON in two fields and a direction caret would appear on your compass indicator. Your vector would also then be updated live. It would also be logical to include a "Distance to waypoint"
Once you're at the destination you could then place your bookmark.

Until then. there's this -> http://edbearingcalc.neocities.org/ calculator as well.

That sounds like this here : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...-similar-to-the-surface-scan-mission-Waypoint ;)

And as well as edbearing, my application has a Bearing & distance calculator built into it - shameless plug ;)

Here's a video I did in December that might help some folks trying to learn how to navigate with what we have now in game.

Jump to about the 5 min mark if you just want to see the flying part and are not interested in the why/how.
