The only legitimate use of the block feature is when someone is being verbally abusive on chat and in rare cases of "griefing." So rare in fact that I've never even come across a documented case. Blocking just to avoid PvP, which is what Bob advocates and you seem to be supporting, is just exploiting a stupid, poorly thought out mechanic, and acting like it's a "real alternative" to avoid murder hobo's is nothing more than a not so subtle attempt at trolling.
