General / Off-Topic How to be a moderator

Title says it all. What does one takes to be a Frontier moderator?

It may help if you study law, or are a JP. That way you can moderate in a more just manner. Crucial conversation skills may help too. Understanding context behind the poster. Eg are you young, old, middle aged, are you a forum veteran, beginner, or somewhere in between. I'm friends with an Xbox forum moderator for Microsoft, but they got demoted cause they contributed too much with the younger community which Microsoft tends to discourage for some reason.

I have experience.... I moderate my own YouTube channel. Can delete unwanted comments, and disable comments to my YouTube videos. And I've had YouTube since 2011. There you go, that's what, 8 years experience. And I've had at least 18 years experience interacting with public (no, that's called being outside and living). And someone and something fresh. Lets go with a New Zealand moderator. NZ/AU/UK have things in common.

I'm just playing silly, I'm from NZ so can be excused for not knowing who they are. But I've seen her on TV.

I've observed court. I've moderated my YouTube channel for 8 years. I've also assisted the Microsoft Xbox Forum Moderators for a few years too. Have a NZ Regulatory Compliance Level 3 qualification NZQA recognized. And can provide you's with 61 referees.

You guys are silly. Let's get serious. Any of you was on a jury duty? No? I thought so. Case closed :D
A yea, done it twice in a 2 year period. Basically you spend all morning sitting around then get to observe some case then go to a quite room where they choose who they want. They didn't pick me both times which is fine. We got Planet Zoo Beta Fever, Frontier is releasing the Beta in a few hours. Regarding my 8 years with YouTube and my NZ Regulatory Compliance Level 3, I'm serious about that too. Likewise with being on the Microsoft Xbox Forum site, though less of an official capacity. They used to have forum levels and I was on Level 5, which was the cool young cherpy crowd. That was like 3 years ago but Microsoft has combined the Xbox Forums into one forum site, Answers Microsoft.

Here's the Google definition. It seems so serious, and you don't get paid. Maybe they're doing me a favour (and that's how we spell it in NZ/Australia) by not inv me to be one,

"Egypt managed to assert its role as a regional moderator"
