How to boost rep with a minor faction with no available missions and no stations?

I have scoured the interwebs to find info on personal rep with a minor faction so I can run missions for them, and I'm coming up short. I'm in Fehu, and the only one running long distance smuggling missions is a faction that has no stations, and no planetary assets, and is independent of the empires. There are no RES to run, so spent 4 hours in the past 2 days trying to get bounties they issue on the other factions. No luck. Not a SINGLE bounty dropped that they had secured on NPC's. The other four factions had plenty of bounties drop.

All the missions they've offered on three different visits here have required a higher rep with them. I'm at a loss as to how to increase my rep. Any ideas?

Will shooting other factions' ships increase the rep with this one faction? I don't really want to be wanted in this system.

[note, not talking influence...my personal rep with them...neutral to cordial to friendly, etc.]

start killing all other NPC faction ships then your desired one. This will start lowering the other factions down. This is a slow process but it can be done. You need others to help with this.

I had checked this one out, and no info on reputation other than what it is. Double checked again, and I don't see any solutions. There is the idea that Black Markets will reduce the influence of the faction controlling the station, but this doesn't give me a reputation boost....at least this isn't mentioned, and I doubt that to be the case.

I'm not talking about influence. Reducing my reputation with the other factions doesn't help my reputation with the one faction I'd like to be friends with. I know my reputation will drop if I kill a member of a specific faction, and that reputation decreases before submitting any bounties, but it doesn't seem to increase the reputation I have with any faction. I noticed this by seeing my reputation had red down arrows in the reputation status panel. When I submitted bounties, they all turned to blue up arrows except for the one faction I'm targeting.

Your right, rep is gained through missions from the desired faction, you just have to get that faction to be the dominant one in the system. So to do that you have to get that faction up in stats. Get the undesired factions stats down and your desired faction will take over eventually.

Its not really a simple answer. Post on that thread, Walt is a great guy and will answer questions.

Ok, fair enough. I'm assuming with the mission changes with Horizons, the missions will also change once the faction's individual state changes. That may open me up to different missions. As for now, the ONLY missions it gives are smuggling missions with a cordial reputation status requirement.

BTW, considering this is Fehu, I am very unlikely to pull enough friends to get this system to flip. This is one of the systems Empire rank grinders go to for rank boosts. The new mission changes seem to have changed the types of missions issued as well, so that the empire factions will not give smuggling missions...at least in their current states. And, I doubt with the number of mission runners coming here that the states for the ones with whom I have a good rep will move to a bust status that is probably needed for the smuggling missions.

I thought of that, but the task to find them is really daunting. Fehu is about 250 ly from the nearest populated system, and then there would be dozens. It is a Fehu based faction, and based on expansion rules, I don't think it could ever expand that far.

You can search stations by faction on eddb.

https://eddb.io/station

May be worth checking at least

Okay no. The only Fehu is Fehu.

EDIT FAIL

LOL. If you must fail, fail well. Appreciate the link. I didn't realize the factions were cataloged there. I'll check it out even though it didn't quite help us here. Thanks!

I have a similar question, for one engineer I want I need to gain and invitation from the Sirius corporation. I have looked everywhere , even the home system of nembayla (however it is spelt) but there are no LYR factions anywhere, how do I raise my rep (without pledging ) if I cannot do missions for them?

LYR means?

You don't have to pledge to Li Yong Rui, you just need to find a system where Sirius Corp operate as a minor faction. You can do missions for them and get allied and they should offer you a system permit, however there is talk of this being bugged and not happening as it should. Still you could always ally up with them and get the permit when it's fixed.

Luytens Star and Procyon are good places to pick up Sirius Corp missions.

Thank you for the info, I will have to check those systems when I get back from my 5000ly trip for Pallin. I don't really want to pledge and be hounded by them for leaving.

Old but though I'd put this here:

If the minor faction is not the controlling faction then Convoy Dispersal Patterns [Threat 2] will sometimes spawn a mini mission where a caravan of the non-controlling faction will need to be defended from pirates. You can choose to take the side of the faction you want to support. Same way you take a side in a conflict zone. Usually the pirates are a staggered mix of 3-4 Anacondas and/or Pythons. System Authorities will usually show up and help attack the pirates. Gives a way to increase reputation without missions or stations.
