How to buy Anaconda?

its simply me question i want to know opinions. Actually i got a Type 9 for make trades, but its max Jump its 12,5 LY and cargo is 496. I got to a FDL full equiped to. me question is the next one.
Should i sell this 2 ships to buy a anaconda and equip it well? I mean, i already got a bit of cash keep it but still need 100m+ to outfit the anaconda well and i can get that money by selling the other 2 ships, Should i do it?.

The Conda gets a 452T hold while keeping an A4 shield. Faster and better jump range as well as being perfectly capable of the odd bit of bounty hunting especially since you can shield boost to the max (given enough power.

I prefer the conda. If you still want an out and out fighter get the vulture to go along with it.

I'd stick with the Type 9 and be patient. That is the best trading vessel there is. Ditch the shields, play in solo for a while, and you can make a lot of money very quickly.

If you want an Anaconda (it sounds like you do) then buy one, you won't regret it. It can be used for anything, and does all jobs very well when fitted with the appropriate modules.

I bought the Anaconda, and only upgraded the FSD to A and the thrusters to B, kept the stock weapons. Oh and the LS to C. Dropped to 4B shields and had 452 tons of cargo. In Imperial space I can make 7-8 million an hour trading precious metals and Imperial slaves. It has a better jump range and handles better. After a week, I am all A rated aside from the power plant (162,586,486, I'll wait for a discount) full of shield boosters and all HP are turreted beams. Its a great vessel to pilot. Granted, I still have my T9, and love to take that thing out every so often. Its great in FAO! Just get one!

Ditch the T9 as soon as you can build the conda you want (max FST, 4A Shields, full hold etc).
I spent a long time deliberating whether or not to keep the T9, because it can carry slightly more, but the conda is simply better.

The better jump range, speed, and turning are worth the 50M over the cost of a T9.

Plus lots of guns, strongest shields and it still hauls 90% as much cargo as the big cow.

^^^this. Ditched my Type 9 in favor of the Annie and never looked back. And yes, buy a Vulture to have fun on sunday afternoon :p

Um - don't ditch the shields in a T9 now, since the AI had it's update - the encounters are a lot more dangerous now. I have had to upgrade the shields and all the equipment to A where I could to survive.

Ironically as I typed this on my I-pad I got interdicted by a Anaconda pirate NPC, I rest my case.

I noticed lately pirates will try and interdict multiple times - I've ran away and stopped again by same NPC 10-15 times since 1.3 in my T9

Flying without shields is not worth it. I'm running a very profitable route which nets me 1,300,000 on its one leg (the other one is only 80k) and although tempted, I've never abandoned shields. Simply not worth the trouble.

I let pirates shoot and shoot while my FSD recharges and off I go. No prob.

But in the the Anaconda you gleefully submit to interdiction and take the free credits offered by the pirates.

This is partly why I prefer the Conda. To get better cargo on a T9 that makes it worth it you have to go shield-less. Better to go with the Conda because it allows the Class 4 shields which means only a 16ton cargo hit.

With 5 shield boosters the 4A shield on Anaconda has a strength of 654.

That's plenty to handle any single NPC pirate or a wing of smaller ships. If a wing of large ships stops you, the Anaconda still can high energy jump or jump to SC because nothing mass disrupts it except another Anaconda. It's the safest way to trade in bulk, no contest.
