How to buy imperial clipper?

I read somewhere that I need
Squire rank and be in allied empire station, but I just get this rank and I am in allied empire station but there is no clipper to purchase, whats wrong?​

Elementary, my dear Watson. On the purchase screen, I believe it states that you need to be a Baron in the Imperial Navy before you're allowed purchase.

Go to an Empire Station that sells the Clipper and make it your home base

You will need to be rank Baron, so start doing all the missions for that station and naval progression missions will eventually appear.

After every mission, check that the Empire reputation is 1% increase. if it stops increasing, 0%, it has dried up and move to another Empire station and do their missions.

Do these until Baron and then buy the ship.

You will need about 30mil to buy, equip for trading and have spare for insurance / cargo

Good luck, I've been a Lord for days, visited umpteen Empire systems and still the Baron mission hasn't appeared. Its frustrating to the point of abandonment of clipper and the rank missions completely. I jets keep carrying out these damn courier and pirate slogs etc. :)

Ok I thought I need baron rank for every station but only squaire for allied stations, as usual, game tells me nothing so I have to ask here.

You used to be able to buy when allied at a lower rank than Baron. That bug was fixed around 1.05

I was progressing through the ranks and allied with the Empire factions and still had to wait for Baron during 1.05

I wouldn't worry its very easy to rank your way up to count with the empire, the harder part is making the 30 million roughly needed to safely buy the clipper
