How to calculate if you can perma boost with x pips to engines with a given class of dist and engineer mods

https://coriolis.io/ is an amazing site for speccing out ships before you actually purchase and engineer them in game. Love it.
However, one thing it's missing is information on boosting.

For example. Krait Phantom Explorer build...Can I perma boost with 2 pips in the engines using a smaller sized distributer, ie:
5A - Change Enhanced - Works
5D - Engine Focused - Works
5D - Charge Enhanced - Fails

Does anyone know of any equation that I can use to figure this one out. I'd rather not waste mats engineering distributers only to find out they are over powered or under powered.

Aka: continually mash the boost button and never have to wait for capacitor recharge.

Personally I think all they really need is a good heat metric to end this.

You need to know the boost cost (multiplied by the ~5 second minumum boost interval) of the ship and the ENG charge rate, then it's simple division.

...and where can one find the boost cost?
It's not that importnant now mind you as EDShipyard tells you the freq of boosting depending on your engine pips...but boost cost / ship would be interesting non the less.

The same way those who wrote these ship builders did...test it. It's a per-ship function and it's not hard to measure by boosting with 0 pips and comparing what's left with full ENG capacitor capacity.

I'm sure there is a list somewhere, if you don't want to measure it yourself. You could probably just pull it out of the ship builder you're using (save the page and edit it).

I have enough on my plate at the moment to have time testing loads of diff didt classes on diff ships :) plus I'd waste engineering mats. Ed shipyard tells me exactly what I need, so don't need more than that.
I list find a list of boost % costs, but it was from 2015 :(
