How to capture (F10) pics with the DK2 in standard format?

At some point after having started using this little trick to have an auxiliary screen my F10 captures used to be a single 2D image (with a portrait kind of format). But now after I have started using EDDS and 1.05 my captures when using the rift are back to the dual 3D stereoscopic view in 2D... and that is no good to share captures out here...

Has anyone found a consistent way to capture pics when using the rift in a more or less standard format?

Just checking...

Did you re-modify the config file after the update ?

I know when I update it resets all my config files back to default. (IME HUD color)

Edit: Nevermind I assume EDDS does that for you when you launch/configure it huh ? Never used it.

Have you tried to edit the file the original way to get a second screen and see if that works? Maybe the EDDS tool has a error or something small changed in the update that would effect it.

That's interesting - I don't use EDDS but always have the second window running and my standard screenshots have always been stereoscopic - had to use alt+f10 to make a HD screenshot to get a single portrait image.

Now that they've disabled it in open, I'd probably just export a frame or take a screenshot of the video I've recorded after the session (I record everything just in case). Certainly not viable for beauty shots but would do the job to illustrate something.
