I just find my 1st undiscovered start and usually in the system map there is a name of whom has discovered it 1st, on this one nothing, if anyone out there know how do tell 
how to claim an undiscovered start

First make sure you scan it.
Target it, point ship towards it, wait for the spinny thing to finish and for it to go from "unexplored" to some name......then choof off to a station to sell

I trust you have a DSS on board?
You don´t need one to get first discovery. The basic scanner will work.
