How to Claim the Free Fleet Carrier at Hutton Orbital?

Well it's easy.. there are some steps to take tho, so follow them step by step, otherwise it won't work:
  • Fly to Hutton Orbital in any ship
  • Dock and get a free Anaconda
  • IMPORTANT -> while docked switch to your Anaconda
  • While the animation of ship switching is happening, press the following buttons:
    • Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A
  • You should hear a sound effect and new option under "Contacts" should appear
  • Choose your "Complementary Fleet Carrier"
If it doesn't work, you have to do it from start, all the steps, meaning you have to jump out of the system and then try again... I got it on my 4th try, so it may take a while.

Ignore trolls above, there is no free anaconda, they stopped doing that when the Beyond Update came out. Here is what you need to do to get the carrier.

You have to land at hutton orbital in a type 9 Heavy Transport. This is a homage to a group called "Hutton Orbital Truckers" https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/node/332 A community in Elite Dangerous. Once you land at Hutton Orbital a mission will spawn called "The Hutton Challenge" you have to buy as many of the mugs as you can. It'll tell you to fly to a few systems in different parts of the bubble, delivering one mug to each station. Once you finish the mission, you get your carrier. I am warning you this can take a few hours to complete, you have to cover a lot of light years delivering the mugs, bring a fuel scoop, watch out for the pirates, a few Elite conda's will begin chasing you.

It needs to be pointed out that this has to be a T-9, no other ship will work. Unfortunately the gankers know about this and are there in force, so be careful.

The thing that is always missed here is that the last mug has to be delivered to Fort Mug in Eol Procul Centauri. Again, this must be done in the T-9

No that's right, not sure why it hasn't been mentioned yet, possibly because the process has quite a few steps.
Someone will probly put a decent guide together soon.

Ok, all joking aside, you only get your free Anaconda when you buy 3.14 Hutton Mugs at Hutton Orbital on February 30th if you're dressed as Barf.

If you post a screenshot on the forums here of you meeting these conditions .... I will give you an Anaconda

Don't forget to scan Hutton Orbital with your data link scanner, find the docking hatch and then scan that, then attach a research limpet. This jets the FC from Hutton's storage bays. You need to be within 1m of the docking hatch to see it though.

Here are the real facts, in order to claim your free carrier you have to take 1 ton each of all the rares in the bubble, ie Lavian Brandy, Kamitra Cigars etc in 1 shipment to Hutton. Once you've sold all the rares a message will pop up in the comms panel with a 'tip off' mission directing you to a lat/long co-ordinate on a landable planet in a nearby system where you'll find your fleet carrier parked on the planet's surface.

That's a good rundown. But what does "you have to buy as many of the mugs as you can" entail? Is that dynamic on cargo space or does it mean to go naked with as much cargo racks as possible?

Lies, all lies! Don't believe them. Here are the actual facts:

You have to actually purchase your FC normally. You must then fly it to Hutton Orbital and instruct the station to land on your fleet carrier. (I'd suggest you have them pick the largest pad on your FC). Once done, the station is drawn into your FC and you'll see a notation that the cost of your FC has been refunded to you. It also provides a 3-month credit on maintenance and upkeep costs. Hutton Orbital then departs from your garage to return to it's original location.

And that's the truth.

I assumed this would be only active with Odyssey release?
