How to compete for the top 5% in community goals when you compete against cheats?

Hi,
it is not that hard just time consuming. I played since the Event Startet (maybe a hour later) and im Position 2 at the moment. I only have slept 4 hours this night so i played the event for 15 Hours (sry cant remenber when it startet).
You ask why i play that much, because i have 4 day off from work and cant play much when i work ;)

Ohhh and the game is all grind so that is how you play it xD

Agreed, I legitimately made top 5% in the Princess Arissa's investigation into the Emperor's assassination community goal, and contributed 21 million in bounties. It is likely that there are some that cheat, but I do not think the problem is as widespread as some people fear.

I'd like to go further than the OP's title. How to compete against rich players as a casual gamer? https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=140118&highlight=my+take+on+community+goals

why? power gamers advance the goal increasing all the rewards including the casuals, in lugh you could mess around and pick up 15mil from both sides with a couple of hours effort, how easy does it have to be to benefit casuals? :p

If anything the people at the top are the ones that make the least, 50 hours in a CZ for a CG won't make as much money as 50 hours trading, or 50 hours in a big game RES for example whereas the casuals contribution will be rewarded hugely in a CG

cheaters and exploiters should be banned from playing open or in a group period.

Yes they should, sadly companies are scared of banning people because they sue.

I just avoid any community goals, I miss out on a part of the game but there's no other option. :(

Welcome to Online gaming as a whole. The biggest asset you can bring to your faction/guild/team/whatever is your TIME. I remember many days of EVE online spending entire weekends barely leaving my PC except to run to the toilet or grab a beer before resuming the task at hand in the 1500player lagfest for another 10 hours. Top-end content should not be nerfed or restricted so that someone who gives 2 hours is 'balanced' to someone who gives 40 hours to the same end goal.

I feel your pain mate. Im married now and have a baby on the way and have slacked off of EVE for that very reason, but fortunately ED allows us the choice to just not participate in CGs if you dont feel like it. Your not going to get locked out of a station or loose access to months of your work because the wrong faction wins the fight.

If the OP isn't going to report the cheat or cheaters or provide any evidence of cheating then this thread might as well close. There's nothing to discuss apart from wild speculation.

LoL

Like others said, you gain even more when some hardcore ppl push the mission to a new Tier, so all win in this situation.

I mean the Goal is one of the easiest because the enemys come in waves so you just have to kill them quick. The other goals where you have to Bounty hunt take much longer and are bound to some luck.
