How to customize signs?

When we make structures for our coaster signs, how do we edit the names on the signs? Or, is there a tool that I'm missing that lets us write our own names? We can edit the name on the edit window but it doesn't reflect the name on the sign itself.

Make sure you are using the editable signs. They are in buildings. At the bottom right. In the misc section.

Or you can filter by "editable sign" (it's at the bottom of the filters)

After you place the sign down. Click on it and a box will pop up asking you to enter text and you can change the colors and font
