So I'm bountyhunting with my vulture at a resource extraction site. There's multiple ships around me and I'm targeting a wanted ship. Within the blink of an eye a ship zips between me and my opponent, leaving me with no time to react or halt my fire. I get slapped with a measily 100 credit bounty and immediately try to leave so I can pay off my bounty. But instead of leaving, the federal security ships magically know that I'm wanted, even without them scanning me. They attack and effectively prevent me from going into supercruise. Shortly after I'm dead, with a million credits rebuy costs and half a million worth of bounties lost.
Is this supposed to be a fun game mechanic? I don't even feel like I've made a mistake I could have prevented. Why does the game punish me severely for something I can not react to?
If anyone knows any way to prevent this from happening it would be much appreciated.
