Engineers How to discover new engineers?

My "lighten a battle Imperial Courier for maximum speed and fun" plan is progressing very well, except for one major snag:I'm not getting any meetings/invitations for any new engineers besides the original 5.

The most relevant example is for Selene: Inara.cz website indicates that getting Tod McQuinn to level 3 is the requirement to discover Selene. I'm at level 3 with Tod, but I did not get any message from Selene, nor does she appear in my Engineers list.

Another example is Juri Ishmaak: It states that the meeting requirement is to have Felicity Farseer at grade 2. I'm at grade 3 with her since a few days, and no Juri on my list either. What am I doing wrong?

I definitively would like access to other engineers (Selene mainly; she both has a critical upgrade and I enjoy battle mining so the unlock requirements are no big issue), but I can't figure out how to make them appear on my Engineer list... Thanks!

Sorry for being extremely noobish, but where do i find all the info on engineers? Like what to do basically. Is it all explained in the game or is there a guide here? Thanks. :)

basically you just play the game and get an engineer invite one after another. the game /engineer tells you via mission where to go, what he wants etc.

so many infos are ingame, but you get better information (SPOILER!) to speed things up on community sites, if you want.

EDIT: search the sticky thread about engineers here on the forum, its very helpful (with links)

There is no official guide to Engineers. FDev prefer to let players build up info as a cottage industry or by their own personal exploration. There are a growing number of player-curated resources sprouting up already.

Check the sticky thread at the top of this sub-forum.

Yes, and yes ;-)

If you're patient, it will be all explained bit by bit in the game (as with any other part of the background mechanics).

If you're impatient and want to know which Engineer to pamper in order to finally get access to the Engineer that can make what you really want, there's the engineering database linked two posts above.

Are the other requirements really just to have the engineers show up on your list? Or are they to allow you to dock to the Engineer's station (like the original 5 engineers requirements)?

Anyhow, I think I have more than 10 millions worth of claimed combat bonds and I'm pretty sure I have over a thousand mined ores.

... but I'm not 30% in level 3 with Tod or Felicity yet (I'm at like 10% and 20% on level 3 respectively), so that would certainly explain my problem! If that's the case it means that Juri's requirement is slightly incorrect on Inara (as in it'd require level 3, not level 2), but this possibility makes sense. I do have two level 3 upgrades to apply with Tod next time I play, so that should confirm that the 30% was the problem there. Thank you very much for the information!

Nah i rather find out bit by bit like ive done with the game so far. :) Just didnt know if you actually did find out or if there was some things you had to do to kick it off which would take too long to find out in-game. Like having to go to a certain system that was never mentioned lol. :D

Well, I'm still with the first set of engineers, so I can't speak from experience, but from what I've read, so far all but the first five are only reachable if you get an invitation from one of the first five after reaching a sufficient status with them.

_And_ you'll have to fulfill a certain minimum personal requirement, like the 5 black markets with the Dweller.
