How to disengage supercruise?

As the title say, how do I disengage supercruise? I have read on some forum posts that I should press C when the blue "safe disengage" text appears. However C is set to communication panel and I can't find a "supercruise disengage" option in the control settings?

Press J Commander!

Having a similar problem. The "J" key is not working and and have to get near a planet to stop. Oh then someone shoots at me.

I have tried a few times to disengage the super cruise but no luck. J's junk just isn't working.

BTW using the Logitech 3Dpro joystick and I enter super cruise through the nav menu.

I just won't disengage and I'm stick flying around at 30 km / s.

The disengage button is just the same as your Engage button. You have to bind the frame shift drive key in your options before you can disengage.
Hence, if you don't have an engage button bound, you can't disengage.

Press the Button you use to go in Supercruise when the indication on the top of the radar says to do it.
With double tap you make a emergency disengage.

If you pass a point becasue going to fast, don't desengage, continue, turn while the speed decreases and try again.
With Stations you can also stop and go back in SuperCruise, but with unidentified signals stopping you will loose them;)

Had some problems with the exit super cruise command ("J" key on my setup) today. Think it may have been a bug / network delay.
