How to do assassination missions

Assassination missions are now a credit giveaway. There is no challenge whatsoever in doing them. The newest wrinkle is that you have to go planetside to make a scan.
I remember doing one of my first ones in a Vulture (b4 engineers) and the target was in a Corvette. It was scary, particularly when you didn't have much CR. I got him, but I didn't forget that encounter.
Also, they would have wing mates to keep you busy. You do one now and security is already there. They certainly need a polish.

The only challenging Assassination Mission I ever had was when a glitch duplicated my target, which was a Deadly Corvette.
I was in my Mission Python, but I still won, but it was a good battle.

Challenging ones are definitely few and far between in fact assassination missions in general have become much harder to find.......about the time FD tried to force the passenger meta on us. I did however find a wing of three anacondas a few weeks back that was vaguely exciting for about 2 minutes.
