As an FYI I would blank the name out. Calling out players or groups is not allowed on the forums and will lead to the banning/deletion or whatever of your forum account.

If players are cheating/harassing or breaking the game rules you can file a report with the developers who will decide if they deserve a ban or not.
In this case it is none of the above and sadly nothing can be done except watch your aim. Crime is getting an overhaul in 1.3 where this may or may not be fixed.

Just got to Sobek and I'm drifting around about 1ls from the station, no sign of any active conflict zone. Conflicts aren't now locked by ship sizes are they? I've used large ships before at conflict zones without issues.

It has happened in other combat zone community goals. Back then it was unfixed the whole weekend, I assume it will be the same again this weekend.

Check out the faction influences in the right hand menu. Sobek boys is "lockdown" status meaning they are no longer in civil war and therefore there are no conflict zones.

This is a problem with the current system and Frontier have said 1.3 will fix it. Until then we have to wait until they can manually reset the influence so they can go to war again.

Lucky for us they gave us the bounty hunt alternative so lets get that finished before the Developers get back to the office on Monday and reset the influence, should mean everyone can swap over to the Sobek CG after that

Personally, I think the vulture was made for RES hunting. Loads of fun. I've only ever used my python for trading, so can't directly compare - but handling wise, the python seems just sooo sluggish - probably not what you want in an asteroid field...

The CZ seems to have disappeared. I also noticed that Landis has changed from Sobek Boys to Alliance now so perhaps that is why it is over. I think FD are getting their arithmetic wrong when they set these things up - we haven't even reached tier 1 yet and the thing is achieved already - with 5 days to go! Hopefully this sort of screw-up will be fixed in 1.3 when they revise all these things.

Of course it might come back again once FD come back to work on Monday and sort it out so I'll keep an eye on it. In the meantime I think I'll join everybody else over at He Bo and help sort out the baddies in the RES's.

The CG is fixed outcome event. The Landis port was changed from Sobek Boys to Alliance 1st day of the CG without anyone completling anything. Also no one can choose to fight for the Sobek Boys.

I've stopped using my FDL and am now using a Python.
It far superior over the Vulture to kill AI. You have to be doing something horrible wrong to hit asteroids with a ship as maneuverable as the python.
I never used one before they nerfed it, must have been ridiculously OP.

Like boosting instide an astroid field with a ship commanding momentum like a Python? This was never a problem with my Viper back in January. Lesson is to never boost in an astroid field with my Python. Maybe boost out of an astroid field...

boosting with any ship inside the asteroid field while trying to pitch is probably a bad idea.
Silliest thing I did was fly backwards through one in an Orca.
