General / Off-Topic How to "Elite" this thing up...?

I built a picnic table -slash- sandpit for the kids, but I want to do something to make it more ED-ified...
Any ideas?

That's really neat! I love it.
Just buy some quadcopters and have a RES dogfight type thing. If the kids are too young, get neighbours/friends to help out.

That's nice! How about painting or getting a large vinyl sticker made of the Elite symbol and plonking that on it or even popping some bolts through to look like rivets on the ships panels? Or how about getting a couple of knackered joysticks and screwing them onto it, you could use them as handles for lifting the lid off.
Isn't that obvious? You need to put some miniguns on the Sides in case griefers are attacking

Attach a monitor stand to it, hook it up to your PC and play Elite on it...
Quadruplify (do what?) that and make into a LAN Elite Station for 4 player. Of course you'd then need to abandon the idea of it being both picnic table and sandpit, but hey... ELITE!

You can never have enough Quadcopters...
I so badly want to build a fleet of these!
Then make the sandpit into a "desert-planet" and have them fly recon missions over / around it! Heh!

As you already have the seats sorted, but seem determined not to have a cabin space as such, I suggest an A1 life support system as your first upgrade.
My preference is to upgrade the power distributor second, but I'm not quite sure where I'd fit it on that frame... Is it a Lakon schematic?
