How to find empire factions?

Hi all,

I'm in Robigo, doing passenger runs to Sirius Atmospherics (grinding for my carrier). There are three factions at Robigo Mines giving me those missions - one of them, CDE Corporation, is empire-aligned. So I've hit 100% on my empire rank, and I'm looking for the rank-up mission. CDE Corporation doesn't ever have non-passenger missions, I don't know why. So I'm looking for the nearest empire-aligned faction that will give me the mission. I can't seem to find this using Inara or eddb - both will tell me that the nearest empire-aligned system is almost 350LY away, but I don't need a whole system empire-aligned, just a single faction at a single station...

Any ideas how to find the nearest?

Alternatively, can anyone explain why CDE Corporation won't give me any missions (except passengers)? Is there anything I can do to change this?

Pleiades Sector AB-W b2-4 has the closest Imperial faction - but I really don't think that's the best answer. I would consult your grind-guru, it doesn't seem at all optimal

With how the superpowers are distributed, the controlled systems and present systems aren't in most cases going to be at different distances. And there aren't many systems of any sort near Robigo.

Remember that rank % does continue to accumulate in the background after 100%, so you won't lose anything by finishing off your business at Robigo and then going to get a rank-up mission or four.

Not completely, but essentially the issue is that the isolation of the system means most non-passenger mission types can't be generated.

There's nothing practical you can do about that.

Thanks all. I'd forgotten that you can continue to accumulate rank% while waiting for the rank-up mission - but I've done Robigo to Sirius Atmospherics about 100 times now (2Bcr at 20M per run), so I fancy a little break. I requisitioned my Asp over to Sothis and I'll leave my Python there while I fly the Asp back to Chimasates to pick up either the Cutter or the Corvette (I prefer the Cutter on paper but the Corvette is much nicer to fly), depending on what the mission is. Then I'll fly back in the Asp and do another 200 runs to save up for the carrier.
