How to find nearby Empire world?

So I picked up some Empire bounty credits while out killing random stuff.

How can I find a place to cash these in?

I'm currently in Hach, near LHS 64 / Wolf 1080 / Ross 210 / Chemaku and friends.

Easy.. go to your galaxy map, go to View tab, click on systems (or whatever) that shows ownership of systems. Zoom WAY out and move the screen around, looking for RED colored systems

In general, empire tends to be "down" from Sol.

Seconded. Rotate your view until you're looking at your current location from "below the plane", then zoom out (and wiggle around a bit) until the reds are popping up.

Nearest ones roughly 50ly from Sol, as the Cobra flies.

Do a galaxy map search for Achenar and head in that direction, its effectively the core of Empire space. The Empire is a little bit away from Federation space. It may take a while to jump there.. a rough guess from memory, a few hundred light years from Sol. I relocated to that region of space myself. You may see me out and out taking out pirates.

also active the 'show by population' bit and reduce the second slider to minimum, that'll make the dots massive so you can see em better zoomed out.

I am in this same boat. Over time I have accumulated 38,401 in Empire bounty vouchers and would really like to turn them in. I also had about 16k in Alliance vouchers, but was fortunate enough to find a couple Alliance stations in Ross 210, an independent system.

I was hoping to find an empire station not so far away in another independent system, but have had no luck. I am deep in Federation space, and the nearest Empire-controlled system is a good 50-70 Ly away. It will probably cost me what the vouchers are worth in fuel for my Viper. That or I'm going to master this fuel scoop.

Why the heck does the Viper use 10x the fuel that the Eagle does, anyway? The Viper only has 20% more mass. That makes no sense.
