hey guys, new here. How do I find ohter players? And how do i choose my player name?

In game you can recognise other player ships because the scanner icons for them are hollow. If you see a hollow square it's another player. If you see a hollow triangle it's another player with guns out...
When you are in supercruise any other ships you see will all belong to players - you can also see them from very much further than in normal scanner mode.
Players are typically concentrated in I Bootis, Eranin, Asellus, Aulin, Dahan, LHS 3006 and LP98 - the systems which are at the centre of the bubble and which were in Premium Beta. I expect to see three or four player ships in supercruise any time I jump into Chango (I Bootis.)
