How to find the Crashed Thargoid Scout Ship?

Apologies if this seems like a dumb question, but you may have seen that the previous discovery of the crashed Thargoid Scout Ship has now been made public on GalNet (https://community.elitedangerous.com/en/galnet/uid/59e0c4b16fc1d540d8703341).

How would I locate the planetary body and Lat/Long coordinates of the ship from that GalNet article? Is this information located by some other means in-game (e.g. Listening Posts)? If so, where are these referenced?

Have I missed something obvious? Or are the forum/reddit posts my only way to locate it for now?

Forums / Reddit are the only way to find the exact location now as far as I'm aware. But just imagine you got the information from the space bar if that helps ;)

If it's any consolation, I think the Scout being found now was a sequence break, so they may have had a breadcrumb trail planned out, but we'll never know now.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, my feeling was that this was an out of sequence discovery originally that will hopefully be revealed by in-game methods soon - even if it's just a short story in the local GalNet news within that system.

If you're asking how you're supposed to find it, rather than just asking for directions, then opinion is divided.

There's a comm's relay that leads you to the derelict ship, the Victoria's Song.
They, apparently, discovered a Thargoid base in a different system but then, for some reason, travelled to HIP 17125 and got attacked and their ship was disabled.

The Thargoid Scout is on the planet right next to where the Victoria's Song can be found.
Whether it's there because it was supposed to have been damaged in the battle that disabled the Victoria's Song or whether the dev's just plonked it down there as a nice coincidence for anybody diligent enough to search the planet after discovering the Victoria's Song is anybody's guess.

Thing is, the Victoria's Song has been there for a while and I guess most people who followed the trail of breadcrumbs would have just got the logs from the Victoria's Song and then headed off to the Aries Dark Region, where you'd have found the Thargoid base mentioned in the logs.
The Scout Ship might have been on the planet surface for months, but nobody looked for anything there, or it might've been put in for 2.4 so it was never there to be found, until a couple of weeks ago.

I actually had the scout location in Contacts. I think it appeared after I scanned the logs on Victoria's Song but I'm not sure.

Did that happen today, or when v2.4 was first released? A bug on the initial release enabled POI's to show up system-wide which has now been fixed, so I wouldn't expect that to happen now.
