How to form a "Wing"?

The multiplayer is so under-developed and complicated that people can't figure out how to make groups. When a group is created the multiplayer options are very limited in beta 2.
We have been assured that grouping up in game will get better. I cant wait as this will increase game play and teamwork. I hope it is something like Freelancer where the first ship/group leader basically took control of the rest of the ships.
I'm also hoping for some sort of autopilot that can handle a 3 jump course! (I'm mega lazy sometimes!!)

Teamspeak.
Wing grouping isnt implemented yet, so we still have to fly around individually, but on a friendly teamspeak server like the one I use (66.103.151.216:9987), we can group up in there, and talk among each other:
"lets go type9 cargo hunting in aulin"
"ok meet you there"
"I just arrived, found a type9 with 56 consumer techs!!"
" im about 4light sec out"
"im droppin in now"
"ah! player viper! oh its you!"
"I told you! LOL"
BUT its important to note if you want to ensure everyone on the teamspeak chat is actually in the same island "instance" and flying around together, they all have to friend each other in game- as the client auto joins you to servers that your friends list members are on
