Hey guys sorry for asking but does anyone know how to form a wing with a friend? We can't invite each other to the game and can't find any invite buttons in game. Were trying to go to the same station but could take awhile because of different instances....any help is much appreciated.

After scanning a sector in space for your friend (or vice-versa), you go to the Comms display in the upper-left corner of your cockpit (X button and D-Pad Up, I believe). From there, you select a CMDR (pilot's) name and invite him/her into a Wing. Also....it's sadly not fully implemented yet...nor the private groups, or a friend's list in general. All we can do is wait until they finish it Soon™. 
Any easier way to find someone or just jump to certain stations and hope their in the same instance?
To actually update my question we found each other. What we did was go to the same station if we didn't see each other I would quit to the main menu and log back. We repeated this until it worked.
