How to fullscreen oculus rift desktop view?

I just bought Elite Dangerous for my Oculus Rift. My husband and I both play; while one of us is playing, the other is watching on the TV, which we have hooked up instead of a computer monitor. However, the view on my TV is SO TINY. It won't fullscreen and it won't let me drag the edges to make it larger. The person watching definitely can't watch when they can only see like 6 inches of the display haha. Is there any way to make it fullscreen on the TV for my husband watching, or at least make it larger? I tried the advice given in the last comment of this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/359320/discussions/0/1479857071264632750/ but it reverted back to the original resolution every time it launched, even though it accepted my edits before relaunching.

Any thoughts? =/

it's the oldest bug reported by me so many times.
ED always starts in windowed mode and it's not a very big screen either.
you have to put on your VR and change to fullscreen in the graphix settings every time you load the game because it won't save it after you quit.
VERY annoying.. pls fix!
