Coaster Crazy How to get Cars UP A HILL?

I apologize right now for being "so far behind" everyone on here BUT I'm just too addicted to quit and NOT smart enough to move-on!

I just built a new coaster and it doesnt automatically have the chain/pully on it to DRAG the cars up the hill. I've tried adjusting the EXISTING chain that's underneath the cars to see if it will drag but it doesnt. I've looked thru every button possible for the past 1 1/2 MONTH and just cant figure it out!

PLEASE HELP!!

And HOW am I supposed to figure out HOW to do NEW things without directions of some kind & especially if there's NOTHING that tells us about ALL the special features the forums talking about??

Hi Teestewart,

If you click on the Specials button, then the Utility button, you will see that there is an option that looks like a chain. This is how you add chain lifts to your track.

Thanks, Ashley

Giving the cars acceleration and momentum

Part of the tremendous game-play has been experimenting with Coaster Crazy and learning for ourselves as we progress. Those of us who have been playing CC since the game's Nov 2012 launch will understand the frustrations you're going through - and yes a 'manual' may have been useful at times.

There's several ways to give the cars acceleration and momentum. . . .

On the Moon (Sandbox), delete any excess track leaving just the launch station. This can now be dragged to any position within the perimeter and raised or lowered to any height (up to 132 metres) - thus gravity will provide sufficient inertia to then speed your car through any twists and turns you create. Note: Moving the station is only possible on the Moon and cannot be done on any 'World' locations.

BOOSTS. Just like Ashley said, you can add extra chain lift from the 'utilities' section found in 'Specials'. But there are also a 'Boost' available there as well.
Dropped in just at the right points, 'Boosts' will gently nudge the cars up a notch - such as when you're climbing the last few metres back up to the station for a 'perfect station exit and entry' bonus. One long continuous flat 50 metre 'Boost' section will accelerate the Crazies to at least 100 mph.

Watching your 'Utility Allowance'! A useful tip. If you need to reach a high altitude (such as Nazca Lines in South America) but you're 'spent-up' on your utility, drop a series of separate chain lifts on to the track instead. I find two and a half track spaces (the space in between each strut) is usually enough to separate each chain lift. General Rule: The longer the car (such as Wooden Two Seater), the larger the gap between chain lifts.

Going Straight Up. Alternatively, drop one long chain lift onto a near vertical twisting climb - which should get your car to climb up to about 70 metres with normal utility allowances.

Trust this helps.

Mr Wibbs.
