How to get hold of the Reward gear for a Community Goal

When a Community Goal (CG) is completed, participants are sometimes given a piece of kit for their ship as part of their reward.

How is this obtained once the CG is completed? Does the player have to fly to the originating station for the CG, is it automatically placed in the player's inventory of stored modules (and if so, where is it stored), or what?

Modules are placed in storage at the CG station. You can just get them moved to your current station in the usual way.
Paint jobs should just show up on your account. Note the word "should"
Credits need to be redeemed at the CG station, or you can wait 2 weeks and get them automatically credited

It's automatically added to the stored modules at the CG station - so you either need to fly back there, or use the module transfer option to get it.
