How to get internal ships components?

Every station I had landed so far did not have any internal components for sale? I couldn't even get to the tab saying "Internals". Only guns and livery. Is there a trick to it or do the stations really not have anything for sale?
I've been to 20 different systems by now.

Yes hi-tech is where I found and purchased most of my internal goodies. I was thinking there wasn't any internal items for sale either, simply because my joystick never could get to the tab. I finally clicked on it with my mouse instead and there were the items. I felt like a fool lol.

If it helps I finally got mine tonight after a week of looking.

I was going to high tech with 10-11 million populations as they were the only ones close by. In the galaxy map you can not only display economy type but the dropdown below it (where you usually use trade routes) also has population with a slider.

Combine these two and I spotted a high tech system with 20 million population some 40y away. After a jump-fest I arrived and it had pretty much all FSD's including the 'A' grade.

I hope that helps! No point naming the system as my starting zone seems like it's at the other end of the universe :)

There is a bug in the UI (ticketed) which means you can't navigate to the internal tab using keys ... using your mouse works though.

I tend to use the mouse to select it as well, as a break from the HOTAS! I'm sure I've done it with the joystick as well, though.

I've found stuff at high-pop industrials, as well as high-pop high-tech worlds (in fact, I seem to recall finding more lower end stuff at industrials - sidewinder FSDs and thrusters). Worth a try :)
