Newcomer / Intro How to get my ships onto the same system?

I am currently trading from System A to System B, but System X is the place to go to buy and outfit ships. I have a Type 7 for trading and a Cobra for general fighting and exploration (until I save up enough for an Asp). I initially brought my Type 7 to System X, then bought the Cobra there and outfitted it. I would like to bring BOTH ships to System A or B so that it is easier for me to swap between the two ships but I cannot imagine how this is possible.

I know I can buy a Sidewinder to just go places but with its weak FSD, I'd have to upgrade it and so on and end up losing money in the process. Heaven forbid I'd have 3 or more ships I want to move to one system. Has anyone worked out how to do this yet?

You would only loose 10% on the sidewinder. If you upgrade the fsd just downgrade it to the original spec before you sell the sidewinder. You get the full cost of the fsd back.

If you want your ships to be in system a or system b you'll have to fly them there and park them. There is no other way to do it.

That means you will either have to purchase a cheap vehicle to use as a taxi between systems or sell one of your ships and re-buy it at the new location.

It's not so bad as it's a small drive- even when slightly upgraded it's not too pricey. The cost will be a drop in the ocean, even for someone just running a hauler regularly.
