How to get rid of passengers after mission disappeared?

No idea how that happened. I took on a passenger mission, 10 Tourists to another station. When I arrived there - the mission was gone and the passengers still in the cabin. And there they are, stuck, forever? Cannot outfit, cannot change ship ...

Any way to get rid of them? There is no "eject" like for cargo?

An eject passenger button! Yes, I need this! Needy demanding over privileged nuisances wanting me to pick up clothes in the middle of the Godknowswhere nebula. Into the star you go!

Back to your problem, I'd say either fly around until you get a message from a local criminal element employment agency looking for some more slaves semi skilled labour. Or raise a support ticket if the mission is completely gone from your left panel.

Yes, only way is self destruction... I tried "multiple storage" as mentioned in older threads, but I could not store the occupied passenger cabins... So in the end I hit the button and destroyed my ship... I did not rebuy the cabins when asked and purchased them later in outfitting again...

Cheers

Sadly this bug has been around since they first added passenger missions. Your only option is to self destruct your ship.

The quickest way to get on with things here. I was looking at a way of avoiding the rebuy screen, but thinking about it, you'll make the rebuy money back before any other solution would work for you.

Similar thing just happened to me with a cargo delivery mission. I took the mission, picked up the cargo, and after jumping to destination system I noticed that I had the "illicit cargo" notification. Turns out my delivery mission vanished and left me with all the cargo which is now considered stolen.

I looked at the journal to make sure that I didn't miss anything and there's nothing about the mission being failed. The mission wasn't set to expire for 23 hours. The mission just vanished.

There's a bunch of folks reporting the same issue on the Facebook forum: after a server glitch, the passenger mission disappeared from their roster, but the passengers themselves were still onboard. The answer is the same: contact support, and they will delete the passengers for you.

This has happened to me also, in conjunction with repeated 'transaction server errors' kicking me out of the game. I can't even play it at the moment. I've left my Cutter sitting in space with passengers and no mission, in the system the mission originally sent me to. Almost every time I try to log in, I get kicked a few seconds later with a 'transaction server error'. Every other time, I get kicked when I try to jump out of the system or do anything at all really.

I really, really, really want to be able to sell passengers to slavers.
Especially those passengers who go from happy to exiting your ship (mission failed) as you are passing through the letter box to dock.

This needs to be a thing. Moar crime! Naming your Beluga "Disappearing Act" and abducting people to sell into slavery should be a gameplay avenue. With serious repercussions ofc; that seems like a pretty major crime. Stealing people as a career should at the least leave a trail of KOS stations eventually.

It'd probably be an easier thing to collect pods in your "humanitarian" vessel and sell those folks. Maybe better rates for different pod occupants depending on the buyer? Military personnel, business and political muckamucks, rich tourists lost in space, that kind of thing. There should be a reasonable temptation provided to fall to the dark side.

Not that I run slaves even now, so this isn't even an idea for me; it really fits the Eliteverse though. Maybe you could even power down your cabins and then sell the occupants as Fertilizer, just like the oldendays (or to be exceptionally dark, Animal Meat >__> ).

Hmm.. angering them and making them leave by themselves isn't an option? In normal circumstances if you act against their wishes (hull damage, scans, etc) they get upset to the point they will jettison themselves, failing the mission. Since the mission is no more then maybe try to bump an asteroid or get a scan if those are the types of passengers.

Or this doesn't work due to mission absence and passengers are simple dead weight?

Self destruct is a workaround but it will break the statistics (too much RPing for me) and make you cover FDEVs mistakes and errors. So:
- if you're not in a hurry - raise a support ticket and let them solve it
- if you're in a hurry and don't want to wait - self destruct, raise support ticked and demand refund + statistics correction.

Isn't 'anger' etc. a thing of VIP passengers only? Those are mere 10 tourists ... probably like peoples who are happy cramped in a Ryanair jet ;-)

I'll try to get the lot sea sick. Until fdev support comes to life ...
