How to get to Empire and Alliance space from normal starting area (LHS 3447)

Hi all!

My first post. Sorry if stupid or covered already. But its all in the subject? I have cash from bounty hunting and I need to travel to Empire and Alliance to cash it in.

No idea how to get to these systems from near our starting area of LHS 3447

Anyone have an idea? Or is it something I should forget until much much later in the game?

Alliance space is "above" Sol, Empire space is "below" Sol.

If you search for "Alioth" or "Lave" you'll see Alliance worlds, "Achenar" or "Delta Phoenicis" will get you Imperial ones.

Lave and the worlds around it are a good place to visit.

Or using in-game tools:

Go into your Galaxy Map, View Tab

Change mode from Realistic to Map.

Allegiance should be defaulted in the first pull-down menu.

To help see the systems, you can filter out the other allegiance you're not interested in, and set the second pull-down menu to population.

Use the Min/Max sliders to see larger color orbs (both should be moved, and set to the far left.)

After that, navigate around the galaxy map to find which systems are Empire and Alliance. You'll find a large concentration of Empire systems below Sol and a smaller concentration of Alliance systems above, as previously mentioned.


Plotting your course may need to be done in multiple "legs" as the plotting computer has distance limitations.


After a quick view with your starting location, you are closer to Alliance space, but just slightly.
