How do we SELECT the "Sol" star to plot a Jump route...?
And then, will there be a Planet Earth...?:D

Sol is permit-locked, meaning you need a permit to plot a route to it. You get one by reaching Petty Officer rank with the Federal Navy Auxiliary.

And yes, there's a Planet Earth. Although it's not quite the same. You'll find some interesting lore on it, search for it, specially since the Bugs are coming.

To get Fed Navy ranks, do missions for Fed-align factions (will have the Federation logo next to them on the mission boards). On your Systems panel (right hand), you'll see a meter for your Federation naval rank. When that meter reaches 100%, and the faction you've been doing missions for is Friendly (or maybe Cordial I think?) to you, you'll find a mission on their part of the mission board for the Federation Navy (will say something like Navy Data Courier Needed or something similar). Complete that mission and you'll receive a Federal Navy Auxiliary rank. Then repeat the whole process again until you reach rank 4 (Petty Officer), and you'll get your Sol permit.
