How to I open DSS mode, so I can fire the probes at a planet?

I want to use my Detailed surface scanner, to scan planets, but I don't know how to switch to that mode. I am able to switch to FSSS by pressing ' but that's it.

DSS is a module, you need to have it fitted to your ship, then you need to set it into a fire group.
Also check the bindings

OMG, I had the wrong I had the wrong fire group selected. Thank you.
