Star Trek: Voyager could have been greatly improved by replacing the boring instrumental title/opening music with a heartfelt lyric-based song, performed by a gravelly-throat legend such as Rod Stewart, Lou Gramm, Bryan Adams or Joe Cocker.
In fact, get all FOUR of them to sing it! Holy cow, would that ever fix Voyager...
Here you go, I'll even write it for them.
"Such a Long Long (Long Long) Way"
Performed by: Rod Stewart, Lou Gramm, Bryan Adams and Joe Cocker
It's been a long long (long long) way
Getting from way over there
to all the way over here
Our ship is really shiny and pointy
With blue lights and foldy parts
(Joe Cocker: Them foldy parts, yeah)
Glowy things in planets' rings get out of its way
Without any regard for actual physics
(Bryan Adams: Not just physical, oooh yeah)
It's our ship
(Lou Gramm:All of us)
Yeah, it's our ship
(Lou Gramm:Well, most of us)
Going a really long, long way
A long long long long
Long long long long
Long long long long way
(Rod Stewart:Oooooh oooooh ooooooooooooooh Maggie)
We've been gone for a long long
long long long long
long long long long time
This song's going on a long long
long long long long long long time
This series will go on a long long
...etc.
