Horizons How to increase number of onboard npc pilots?

Hi!

I just now made a come back to this game and bought a fighter hangar and two tiny ships too.
I can not figure out how to get pilots to them both. I can only take 1 crew member "Onboard" even though they all seems to follow me around (????).

How do I get more pilots onboard?

/Nic

Only one active crew member at a time. Also only one fighter active at a time.

That cant be it? I expected at least a "mini swarm of 8 ships".... :(
I can take it if we had to gain some kind of skill to raise the number of ships... but ONE!!!! Why bother with this update then...
Please give som FD reference to the number of ships being limitied to only one....

Every time they spoke about it they said ONE ship. The reason is that the fighter has the firepower of +- a Vulture. Launching eight of them is stupid.

To be fair, launching one SLF makes a big difference to combat. 8 would change from being a pilot to a commodore managing a fleet.

Very different game play dynamics.

Yep, makes combat in my lumbering Cutter good fun now in Res Sites - I'm no pro and use Xbone controller so while turning etc at least my target's kept busy/still getting damaged. Best addition to the game yet imho and I really like the way they rank up adding a bit of RPG flavour, instead of RND flavour for a change :)

Since when is a fighter = vulture.

Fighter $20,000. 2x c1 hardpoints?
Vulture $4 million 2x c3 hardpoints

Let's not get carried away with 8. I'd be happy with 3. To fit in with wings limits.

On a random note, if any of you have Taipans, watch them board with the debug camera. Very cool docking animation.
