How to Interact with a Hostile Wing [Educational Video]

Phew! Now that that's out of the way:

In this video, I come across a group of 6 CMDRs and engage with no back-up. Multi-cannons, plasma, hammers, cockpit glass, Strauss, and a close call. The video is shown from both my perspective (lone bounty hunter) and CMDR Sundae's perspective (group of 6). What mistakes did I make during the video? Thanks, and enjoy!!!

To people looking in, I know Open Play PvP kind of looks like a scene from Animal House. And at times, maybe it is. But my philosophy towards the game has always been to build relationships with my fellow players, never to break them down. Even if our chosen play-styles directly contradict each other we can still play the game together. You may never be in a wing with me, but that does not stop me from having fun with you. That is the beauty of Open Play.
Thanks to everyone who watched the video.

If I'm being ganged up on by commanders, or even enough NPC's, I don't even bother with supercruising out. I go straight for the high-wake.

first of all gratz for the cold blood and for esacping alie from there.

Having said that, there is one thing i didn't understand: you charge three times your fsd: why? Fsd broken?

If you jumped when the first fsd were charghed you would'nt encounter any problems.

One more thing (but it's easy to say now not being over there):

for the future you should have headed immediatly toward the station. it's turrets would have protected you against... ahem... the bad guys :)

Pretty close call, i bet the adrenaline rush was worth it.

Definetly. I recorded this pretty late at night, when there was no bounty hunters to group with, but saw Sundae on my friend's list. Was a blast, and was fun to make the video.

first of all gratz for the cold blood and for escaping alive from there.

Thanks for this comment, you raise a lot of interesting points. I charge my FSD to show them no respect, to show the pirates that their attempts to kill me are so utterly futile that I probably could have escaped 3 or 4 times over before I actually high-wake. It's the same reason I type to them "Dont mind me - just passing through" so that I not only leave a high-wake as a relic but also several taunting messages in chat.

There are lots of posts on the forums complaining about being destroyed for X reason. In this video, a lone FDL ganks 6 well known PvPers, while doing all sorts of nonsensical things (charging FSD multiple times, typing to them while they shoot me) but I still make a hasty escape.

Quoting some TS audio from the video, "You don't grief the griefer" well I just did by ruining their 3v3 and letting them think they could kill me before slipping away with 9% hull. Sundae and his friends know what I am doing, as I have been fighting against these guys for months at this point. You can hear him in the video, "Why isn't he high-waking? Is he going for maximum disrespect?" They aren't noobs, but neither am I, and the point of the video is that even in a crazy situation (simulated in the video by taking as long as possible to escape a 1v6) an experienced PvPer rarely dies.
