How to launch Odessey on GTX 1050 with 2Gb VRAM - day 2

So ...small workarounds for subj. Allows to drive among pretty planets yet.
1. Set 720p (1280 x 720). Bigger resolution will not work.
2. If you have good CPU like i7 (any way try), set AA to MLAA4, and yep, u can use 1.25x too.
3. Filtering x8 / high works.
4. Terrain all can go to high, "terrain work" may be set upto 50%, I have like 40%.
5. Shadows & textures -> low. At such resolution there is no point for anything better.
6. Everything else at medium will do.

and most important, it seems game has problems with caching, i.e. it does not check if something like texture is still in cache. That's why we have here threads "no textures".
So set "preload shaders at startup" to OFF. This will force game to avoid using cache in many places.
When you on planet you may alt-tab to forum, then back - and all textures lost. Fast resolve - open PLANET map and wait "simulation" to end, that will reload textures back (if setting above is OFF).

So doing all that I have 15 fps driving car in fields and cities. 20 + fps in stations, upto 60 fps in space.

P.S. Don't forget to complete relaunch game after pressing apply in settings.

Update:
There are 2 files which may help to detete:
GraphicsConfigurationsOverride.xml - this on is in "Options" folder and was modified to color your HUD in Horizons etc. Just delete to get defaults.
GpuWorkTable.xml -- same folder where EXE is. This one holds measures of GPU. Delete it to redo process, if you updated drivers - delete too.
