Basically I have 2 missile launchers bound to fire group 2, I want them to fire alternatively rather than together. Is this possible?

Not that I can see in the game. One thing that would be nice is a salvo setting. So say if you are carrying one medium seeker rack with 24 missiles you could set it to Salvo = 3 delay = .5. Which means fire 3 missiles delaying each by 1/2 a second.
Disable one of the racks till you run out of ammo, in the other rack, than enable it. All you can do really. But yes, your fire rate will suck.
Or have more than one fire group, so trigger one as one rack and trigger two 2 as rack two, and then this bit may blow your mind, set up another fire group so rack one and two fire together and whatever your secondary weapons system fires on two. For eg I have a asp, one group is pulse lasers and a couple of missile racks and then I cycle onto the other fire group setting and it's the pulses and multi canons and then the third fire group is my discovery scanner. Frontier do make life a little difficult and we have all been there scratching our heads on what to do. Are you happy with setting up more than one fire group or do you need a hand?

I was trying to avoid another fire group if possible as I have a few already and cycling through them gets a bit hectic during combat.
It's not a big deal would of been nice to amend how things fire that's all. My friend was hoping to have his x4 pulse lasers setup to fire one after another as well as he's a bit of a bad shot lol
As you can tell we are both new'ish to the game. Thanks for all your help
