How to make notes or check websites in Elite while wearing the headset

Hi,

i found a way to make notes and surf/visit websites in Elite without taking the Headset off:

I use Virtual Desktop and VoiceAttack for this.

When you start both as administrator, you can use the xbox-controller and the on-screen keyboard for typing (without admin, the on-screen keyboard can not be used with the xbox-controller).
You can allso use your mouse and keyboard if you are able to work with it without seeing it...

I use "elite"/"Desktop" as voice-commands to change between my desktop and elite.
So i can easy make notes on my desktop or visit website (for trading-prices or routes for example).

Sounds like a good idea. I assume ALT + TAB works for this also?

Can't you just hit the menu button on the Vive controller and select desktop? I know that works in other games or are you asking how to do it with a Rift?

Is this with the Rift? I've tried running both VD and Elite (with a Vive) but if I start Elite first and then start VD it will close Elite. If I load VD first and then launch Elite, I can't switch back to VD.
