How to make path with open end (and then "connect" building to it)?

Can't for the life of me figure this out.
You mean without the curb at the end?
I don't think you can. the path will always round itself off. You can, however connect a building to the end of the path, just like you can connect it to any other part of it by simply placing the building close enough so it automatically connects itself to the path, or placing the building where you want to and run the path to it.

Problem is I'm in the Madagascar tutorial at the point where you need to place a research building and it won't connect to the path. Hence the tutorial is stuck there and won't continue. Do you have any ideas on how I might get past this? Did you play that tutorial to that point?

No, sorry. I jumped straight to the sandbox, so I don't even know how tutorials work. I assume you are only allowed to put the building in that one exact spot?
If the game forces you to do something and it doesn't work, it means something doesn't work as it should, so I guess go report it.

In the mean time hopefully somebody who played the tutorials will chime in with a useful advice. Sorry.

NM was just told on Steam I was putting it in backwards. I'm used to Planet Coaster where those window framings face the path. So they made a shell that has windows covered up? Stupid.

Thanks for the help though!
