How to make Planet Coaster run better

I have acquired Planet Coaster Early Bird Alpha edition today. I opened it up and everything was fine until... I loaded up a park. It is incredibly laggy with a really slow response time. Before that I tried twice to load a park but the game crashed both times, so I changed it to fullscreen and for some reason I can now load parks; I don't know why I bothered.

Is there any way I can edit the settings of Planet Coaster to make the game run faster?

(I am running it on a HP Pavillion G6 with intel core i5 processor. That's all I know)

They just patched today a loading saved parks issue, Maybe that was the issue? :D Other than that, Lower settings a lot.

I see a HUGE difference between framerates for borderless window and full-screen modes. Try running borderless :)
