How to make up to 10k/min Slave trading

I found a way of making up to 10k a minute from slave trading. Completely risk-free and anyone can do it as long as you have at least 25k to start with to buy 2 slaves. You don't even have to leave the port. If this video is helpful, I'd appreciate any support for the channel.

Michael Brookes has stated before that there could be repercussions on individual accounts if people exploit bugs for profit.....I advise you not to promote this.

Not a good idea to show yourself using an exploit...

I'd expect support will be dealing with this and i'd expect you to lose at least your ship maybe worse.

As tempting as this is, it's close to how rares used to be so it'll be fixed soon for sure.

Whether it'll be a sanctionable offense is not confirmed though. Rares were worse and everyone talked freely about making millions per hour, lots did it. No one got punished. But that was an intended function that got balanced. I'm not sure slaves are and from what I've read it's pretty obviously bugged.

It was already reported in the bugs section and ticketted some time ago.

By the way, I don't think you have to switch between open and solo mode.
Missions are refreshed on the serverside. So you have just to wait for the bulletins board update.

Stuff like this is why I stay in Solo mode so far. I've no desire to deal with people who cheated themselves rich.

Nah, no need to hide yourself. Open world is the way to go!

You can't hide in real world either. And there are lots of people cheating or doing worse to get rich...

I won't be using this because it would ruin the experience for me, but tbh, i find it bizarre that gamers would be punished when it is the developer's responsibility, they did decide to release after all. Call it a mistake or whatever, but don't try and shift the blame. Frankly, as much as i love ED i think the multiplayer aspect feels like a bolted on after-thought, if it was a solo game this wouldn't even matter, players could just choose to take advantage of this bug or forget it exists. I agree though that making a video about it is a bit thoughtless, it can only ruin the game for people.

In the real world you also don't respawn after you die. Just because it's like that in the real world doesn't mean it's good. If I liked the real world so much, I wouldn't play video games. Besides, Solo gets me around those docking queues I hear so much about, too.

I use solo to dock yes, sometimes other players just sit on the docks on the smaller stations and it's the only way to land.

Well, many people believe in some kind of respawn after death in the real world or some other place. Who knows?

BTT: Don't get me wrong I dislike cheating aswell.

You found an exploit just last night that was discussed on this forum a week ago already... good job, mate.

And you made a 7 minute video on something that can be explained in 30 seconds! How very efficient!

The solution to this is not to allow missions where the items are at the same station.

But these slave missions (AFAIK) seem to be the only mission type that do that which makes me wonder if it's intentional.

There was an exploit earlier in the week (that's been fixed) around slaves, I social media'd Braben and co about it (and put in a ticket) and his reply was :

"ahh - but do you want to get labelled a slaver forever more? ;-)"

Note the wink on the end! It makes me wonder whether behind the scenes slave trading has some negative impact on your character, specifically so if you're making a lot of money from it. I dunno, being a Baron of the Empire I've traded tons and tons of people's!! Not seen anything in the way of consequence so far, but that reply from Braben... Hmmm....

Missions that require items sold at the same station aren't offered anymore. This has been fixed by FDEV a couple versions ago, well according to patch notes. And you know how good they are at fixing stuff. </sarcasm off>

The slave 'exploit' isn't that bad. Actually it's a waste of time unless you are in the very beginning of the game. I can do more with regular trading in my type-6.

I saw that at a system I frequent often. There are two missions to choose from in a station that sells slaves. Missions that let you buy 2 slaves to set free using about 20k of your own money or missions that sell the same slaves for 45k.

I wonder if they try and guage how much it would take to corrupt you and overcome your conscience. I tend to stay honest, the only bounties I have had were for forgetting to request docking lol. Anyway, I never sold the slaves despite the opportunity of making 45k in a few seconds. At the time I didn't set them free either because I was worried about buying them.

A couple of days later I thought I'd set some free but forgot it was at the wrong station that didn't sell slaves.. DOH!. That was the most stressful moment in 6 months of playing the game. Ended up not being a problem, I was friendly with the station and the only hairy thing was flying through the letterbox as fast as I could to avoid a complete scan. Set them free and got both positive and negative rep. Negative from the local union workers party lol. Probably for bringing in immigrant workers and getting them jobs. That's what the debrief was suggesting anyway.
