How to orbit fleet carrier at lagrange point?

How do owners orbit their fleet carrier at lagrange points? I attached an image below to show what I mean.

1. If the system is new to you (first time visit), you can only jump to the main star or wherever you are assigned to, depending on the traffic.

Edit : If new to the system, jump there first, then after cool down, perform #2.

2. If you have visited the system before [Edit : either via FC or ship], there is a System map next to "set carrier destination" option. Select the system map and select a planet to jump directly to.

That's the problem, can't set destination to a lagrange point but carriers are obviously orbiting them.

I seem to remember there being a bug to get the fleet carrier to orbit a lagrange point but I can't find that post anywhere.

Is there a slot full message ? If yes, FCs reached the max parking limit.

It is kind of a shame that FC's can't be navigated manually.

There's been times where I'm in a system where I want to do stuff at stations a long way apart and it'd be nice if I could park my FC mid-way to minimise travel time.

I'm guessing they need to be in close orbit of something, though, due to the way engine works - in-game assets always orbit "something" rather than being a "something", themselves.

Found the patch notes, fleet carrier patch note 2: Fixed an issue that placed Fleet Carriers in the barycentre when jumping to a binary system, even if space was present around the primary star.

Hmm, maybe beer attack and kamiyoda are right, set destination to primary star and if full will place carrier at a barycenter. That barycenter in Leesti is not that of a binary star though.

My guess is we cant do it ourselves.
Its when you target the main star only but the star is full, yet you cannot open system map (cause never been there), so scripts take over and place you in first available slot.

Sorry if this was already said.

Is the FC actually at the Lagrange Point or is it just a display issue on System Map ?
I dont think Lagrange points are actually any real point in game, just a calulated point on the SysMap.

[When FD inserted Canonn Institute a loooong time ago, we asked for it to be at the Lagrange Point. They declined and stuck it in orbit of somewhere]
