Newcomer / Intro How to pick up ships from other systems.

Just unlocked sol system woop anyway i am wondering how can i get my ships as i have one in eravate and one in 61 cygni.

I have tried to see how i can do it and i cant figure out how or would it be a case of selling what i have then buying again in new system.

Unfortunately right now you have to sell and rebuy the ships at a 90% loss on the ship you sell, however if you sell all of your ships components first you lose a little less since you can sell back modules at 100% price. I have heard rumors of a ship transportation system that is coming, but we'll see if it gets implemented. I just had to fly 105 ly to sell a hauler I kept just in case so I could get another viper in another system and load it up. It wasn't too bad, just took a little more time than I would have liked to spend on that type of activity.

store your current ship in the destination system and buy a sidewinder, add a nice big FSD and a fuel scoop to it to give it range then fly to where one of your other ships is stored. once there sell the sidewinders FSD and scoop, swap to the stored ship and then sell the sidewinder.

fly back to your new home base and repeat for your other ship.

on tip to reduce the overall cost of this is to leave the basic discovery scanner you get intact as there is a good chance you can make a little cash with it on the way, and add to your explorer rank.

At the moment you can't get to your other ships without travelling there .
There may be an easier way implemented later on If I remember correctly.
