How to play with friends on Xbox

So my friends recently bought Ed and I was wondering what I have to do to play with them... We want to wing up we are not sure how to get it started! Thanks!!

Well first of all make sure everyone selects Open Play from the Start Menu. Then you'll want to find them in the Comms tab and add them to your wing. It can be a different button to reach the Comms depending on your controller layout but if you hold X or Y you should see the hot key for it.

Be prepared to try multiple times to instance with each other, and if your still having problems you might try hard reseting your Xbox or Router. Opening your NAT is a must.

Hold the X button the Xbox controller, and hit up on the directional pad. You'll get to the menu where you can talk in local via text or use RB or LB to navigate into other menus, like your contacts (Friends that are online in game) and you can invite them to your wing from there.
