How to post images on a thread

I've been wanting to share my screenshots for ages (more so now as I want to share pictures of my current zoo in the zoo thread in your creations bit) but whenever I try the website says my images are to big.

So, I wondered how other people do it. For example, what programs are used to take the screenshots and ect

If you use windows, just open the image with the default image viewer, click on the right button and select "change size of image". Choose a smaller size, for example 800x600 pixels.

There's a file size limit of 2mb per image to a maximum of 10 images per post. The default steam screenshot tool (F12) is usually under this file size, other screenshot tools such as nvidia ansel may be larger depending on how visually complex the image is. In regards to files over the size limit, there are 2 ways - 1 is to resize the image dimensions via an image editor app for a smaller but still useable image or you can process the image through an image compression tool found online(which is what I do personally)
