How to "Protect Deliveries" in community goals ?

Is there other way than to try to get wanted ships in hypercruise, or going to the navigation point ?
I mean is there any effective way of doing this? Like when you have conflict zones ?

Thanks

People delivering goods to stations for CG's tend to deliver the goods to the station, so you need to stop them on the way to the station, I don't see how it could be simpler than that, they don't tend to go to conflict zones because that would be silly, they are flying freighters doing a delivery not combat ships looking for a fight!

You 'protect deliveries' by killing pirates. The CG doesn't care where the bounty vouchers are gained. While it would make sense for them to come from trading lanes, in practice what people do is hunt pirates in the RES of the CG system, or compromised nav beacons or if there are kill pirate missions that generate Pirate Activity signal sources.

"Protect deliveries" is fancy FDev speak for bounty hunting. The simpler way is to go to any in-system Resource Extraction Site (RES), kill wanted ships, then deliver your bounty vouchers to the Glorious Prospect. Rinse and repeat.

The higher the RES threat level, the higher payout per kill you get. I recommend doing HazRes only. There's only one in system 83K LS away from the Prospect, but there's also a station nearby (Hunziker Terminal) where you can rearm/refuel/repair and go back to the Hazres to farm bounties. When you feel like you've had enough, go back to the Prospect to turn in your bounty vouchers there. DO NOT turn in your vouchers at any other station but the Prospect. If you do they will not count for the CG.

Another fun option (my favorite) is to visit a faction-owed installation, wait for it to spawn a protect/repel hostiles scenario, then kill crap until the battle is over. Focus on the ships trying to steal cargo (easy, stationary targets) and make sure you don't fire at friendlies or the installation, else you'll get a fine or bounty and that's a drag.

Don't forget your kill warrant scanner.

Hope this helps. o7

if you read all the threads on these 2 CG's it would seem you missed mine

the one where I say BYOP
aka bring your own pirates

very easy to do, a little effort put me in the top very fast with over 30mil in bounties from killing pirates I brought to Mbooni.
I chose Mbooni because there are no gankers and no system chat to drive you nuts.

the jist = go get a mining mission or 2, each is worth 10 interdiction aka 10 pirates aka 10 bounties = 1mil per kill(for me anyway)
you just need to trigger the mission first, then they will start to follow you anywhere in the Galaxy so that you can go any place you want, they join you , you kill and collect.

this means you can sit anywhere in the system that you want to.
the pirates come to you.

Either one of us misunderstood the question, or this is one of the better trolling attempts I've seen for quite some time.

call the CG a fruit salad for square wheels, it is about getting Bounty Vouchers by killing pirates for Azimuth in Hip 1163, regardless of what fdev has it named

where the BOUNTY vouchers come from does not matter.

And it does NOT mean you have to attack pirates that are trying to stop cmdrs, there are not enough npc pirates available to even do that, hence the children will be starving tonight.

IMO that is the worst way to get bounties and the best way to get in the sites of gankers

If I did not know how to use mining missions for ANARCHY bounties, I would be in extraction sites.

entertainment plus, even doing it this way, 2 gankers managed to find my signal and joined me and my pirates..fun times.
that took more round things than most have to do that. impressed.

if anyone has no idea what I am talking about re: mining missions and to TRIGGER them in order to MAKE the PIRATES COME TO you.

ASK - it is very easy to do, anyone can do this, easily. no waiting required.

How do I do this? Accept the missions and head to a RES site to attract the first pirates? Or do I have to have the cargo required for the mission in my hold first (like buy it if poss)?

if you are allied somewhere that will be a good place to get a wing mining mission (must be wing, value is irrelevant)
all you want is fast or quick access to get a wing mining mission. to save time getting the missions

To Trigger:
once you have one, you need to fly to a few systems near that system, fly to systems that you CAN get the mission items from(by buying or mining)

doing this lets each systems factions see your mission, if they object, you will get a message telling you in large blue letters that the mission is updated
then if you look at the mission it just displayed, you will see there are now 5 to 9 ships coming after you.

NOW the mission is triggered.
now those pirates will go anywhere in the galaxy to find you. so go get in your killing ship if you were not already in it. do NOT bother with the cargo, it is not required till you want to haul the cargo.

now you can just sit ANYWHERE in the galaxy at zero throttle in supercruise, and they will interdict you.
you kill, you win.

warning, there is a wait time between interdictors per mission, if you have more than 1 mission, the wait time goes away because it then rotates through all the missions.
also, if you have more than 1 mission, the longer you fly at normal speeds in sc, the more interdictors will show up from each mission for me this is a maximum of 5 ships in 1 interdiction....soo be prepared with the always possible random ship joining them..t-10, mamba..etc..

This is how you get Anarchy bounties, or bounties for ANY faction when there are no other ways

fwiw, I did this in 3 accounts for the protect CG, got roughly 30mil per account, putting me in the top 50%

for me, I get wing mining missions from my industrial and my agriculture stations, Regardless of state. meaning expansion is not a thing for these missions to appear.
I average 30 a week. at roughly 10mil worth of bounties per mission.
All for Anarchy Bounties. but works nicely for any bounties.

I used Mbooni for 1 account, there were zero other cmdrs there. that was peaceful

the other 2 accounts I did in LHS 1163 in open, soo noisy from the gank squads
also interdicted many times by them, that was fun. - 1 guy doing the role, the rest...arg and yuk. heh ;\)
don't bother with a kill warrant scanner unless you feel a need for other factions bounties.
Mbooni is peaceful and was 10 times faster to get the bounties. probably due to less noise, less traffic, zero interdictions by cmdrs..so faster

the farther you are from the station or the entry star, the less likely you are to get interdicted by a cmdr !
