How to read the Galnet newsfeed while exploring the furthest bodies

I wish there was a small notice while in the Galnet newsfeed showing distance and time to target.

That way I could enjoy the paper and get the job done. Boring long distance traveling sorted. :)

Under Galactic Powers Tab, left panel

would like to see Galactic Powers tab renamed, to "Galnet" myself
small detail .. but a more delicate touch (imo)

Surely, for explorers "the galaxy" is my own backyard?! :D


Galaxy (LOCAL) Newsfeed .. (via player contributions section?) ..

1 Neutron field discovered (coordinates)
2 Warning! HIP 1234 is trinary white dwarf system .. do not approach from the South!
3 Piracy Warning : Saggitarius A .. armed Anaconda (last known location)
Player event contribution section is a bit unwieldy / slow for this ..
A dropdown lists (for Galaxy Local Newsfeed above, player contributed) could be; <choose>

1. <body type> discovered <system> <coordinates>

2. Warning <system> is <single/binary/trinary> <star type> do not approach from <direction>

3. Piracy Warning <sector/nebula> : <number off><ship type> last known location <system> at <date and time>

Yes, I was thinking about this yesterday while out exploring. I'm off towards my next SC target but I'm trying to work out whether I have enough time to go through the menus and open the GalNet newsfeed. While I'm reading, thoughts of "should I exit now and see where I'm at" keep interrupting my reading. So I end up doing this dance of going back and forth between the cockpit and the newsfeed, which can be slightly annoying.

I'm certainly not going to complain about it (not saying the OP is either) but it's an interesting problem that perhaps could do with a solution.

I'm liking the idea. Would certainly add something for explorers. Like leaving your own post it notes. Plus if it was time stamped you could then scan the systems and see if you could race your fellow explorer back for first discovered bonus.
